Season of Reflection
Season of Reflection
Last week the wood stove was glowing with the season’s first fire. I love it! This time of year, I always find myself quietly shifting my mindset…the summer’s neglected house, the swirling thoughts on the end of another farming season, replaying floral designs, and the eagerness to get cozy into our homeschool routine.

This season of reflection is typically when I settle in to choosing my new goals or refining my current goals. I find that it allows me the time and freedom to really sit and pray with my thoughts and ideas prior to jumping right into them. I’m always telling the kids, “set yourself up for success” in whatever task they’re doing, and this allows me the same opportunity. And, between us, I get to ignore all the New Year’s Eve drama!
I know that a lot of you have been following and supporting us this last year with our business scaling up to full time family farming and we couldn’t be more excited to share the season wrap up with you. I think it will be fun to share a blog series on the 3 areas that we expanded into for our farming endeavors: Summer U-Pick, Grower Collective, and Floral Design.
Steve and I really want to share with you the lessons learned, the beauty, and so many exciting new ideas. So, make sure you are signed up for our newsletter list so you can read along. And get comfy.
PS. Our holiday Open House is Dec 6th. 1:00pm-4:00pm -all the gifts for the plant lover in your life!
